Overview
Guaranteed, fixed monthly paymentsIn the event you are unable to work due to illness or injury you’ll receive monthly payments that continue until you are able to return to work. Payments can continue until you reach the maximum age or return to your job (depending on your policy).
Flexible waiting periods
Choose how long you have to be not working before you can claim. The longer the waiting period, the lower the premium. Choose from 30, 60, 90, 180 or 365 days.
Partial benefit
If you are able to return to work but not full time, you can apply for a partial disability benefit.
Affordable premiumsAs with most insurance policies the amount that you will pay each month will depend upon the terms of your agreement. However, typically, income protection insurance is very affordable and an efficient way to protect yourself.
Paying your premiumsPayment options are flexible and we will work with you to determine the frequency and amounts that make sense for your lifestyle. Payment can be made via bank transfer, credit card, direct debit or other arrangements.

Mental health coverageIf you are suffering from mental health-related issues which prevent you from earning an income, you could claim on this policy.

Does Canopy help with any ongoing service?
Canopy’s advisers are dedicated to understanding your individual needs and building a lifetime
relationship with you, your family (and/or) business partners. We're here to help with questions,

Will my premium go up in the future?
Yes, your premium increases each year in line with your age and (if you have selected this option), inflation.
Some insurers have an option to pay a higher premium from the start, which stays the same for a set period
of time (e.g. five years, ten years or even until age 65 and beyond). Your Canopy adviser can talk you through
how this could save you money in the long term.
When is my first payment due?
Most insurers give you the ability to specify the date in the month you’d like your regular payment
processed. Once your policy is accepted and issued by the insurer, your first premium becomes due
